Upon completion of my apprenticeship I worked in Singapore for 8 years at: Birkart SEA Pte Ltd (freight forwarder) as an import and shipping clerk Jacobs Suchard Asia Pte Ltd as head of logistics (launching of the Milka/Toblerone brands in Singapore) When Jacobs Suchard was sold to Kraft General Foods, I was retrenched and started working at: Robert Bosch SEA Pte Ltd as head of export/international shipping and local distribution My key activities at all 3 companies were: Logistics: import and export trade, international shipping documentation, world trade Hydraulics/pneumatics: local sales, local distribution and order processing Trade fairs: consulting services; product introduction, presentation and sales; catalogue design and layout; translating and interpreting Since January 2000: … I have been working as a freelance translator in Germany. I am very fond of travelling, and every year I make sure to visit an English-speaking country for a longer period of time. |
